Burna is a tool your clinical trial team uses to keep track of how you are doing on treatment. When you have a side effect, fatigue, nausea, a rash, a new pain, the team wants to know quickly so they can adjust your care. Burna makes that easier on both sides.
What you receive is a simple way to reach the team between visits, in your own words, in your own language, with confidence that what you share is read by a real clinician. The questions follow PRO-CTCAE, the patient-reported version of the same framework your clinicians use to track symptoms across trials.
Your care is done by people. Burna helps the people do their work better.
Three commitments we make to every patient who uses the portal.
Care
Burna does not diagnose you. Burna does not treat cancer. Burna does not give medical advice. Burna does not replace your oncologist, your coordinator, or your nurse.
Data
Burna does not share your data with anyone outside your care team without your explicit consent. Burna does not show advertising, track you across the web, or sell your data to anyone, ever.
Promise
If a website ever promises that AI will fix cancer care by itself, close it. Your care is done by people. Tools like Burna help the people do their work better. That is all.
A simple way to reach your team between visits. The portal is yours to open whenever, on the device you already have.
By email, text, or a paper card. The link has a secure token, so a username and password are not required.
It opens a page that asks how you are feeling. The page is in your language. English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic at launch; more on request.
Type, talk, or pick from the short list of symptoms most common for your treatment. Take your time. Come back later. Nothing is lost.
Some teams review reports the same day. Some route serious symptoms through their existing on-call procedures. Less urgent reports become part of your next clinic visit conversation.

Conversations at your visit start from a fuller picture, so time with your oncologist goes to questions and decisions rather than to reconstructing the past two weeks.
Documentation of your experience is more complete and more consistent, which matters for how your treatment is adjusted and how the trial learns from what you went through.
The portal does not change who is in charge of your care. Your clinicians remain the people who review, decide, and respond. Burna is the path your words travel on.
Your symptom report is linked to your clinical trial record and visible to your care team only. The full Privacy Policy is at /privacy.
Stored inside your hospital’s systems or your region’s healthcare cloud. It does not cross your country’s borders without your consent. Burna the company does not see your name, your address, your diagnosis, or your phone number.
Burna processes your data on behalf of your care team, only for the purpose of supporting your trial.
A copy of everything Burna holds about you is available at any time. Anything that is wrong can be corrected. Consent can be withdrawn, with records removed from the Burna side of the platform.
Your trial record with your hospital is a separate legal matter governed by your trial consent form.
In Europe and the UK, GDPR rights apply in full. In California, CCPA rights apply. In every other jurisdiction, the strongest applicable protections apply.

Many patients ask a family member or caregiver to help with symptom reporting, especially when treatment is exhausting. Burna supports this two ways.
Share the link. A patient can share their portal link with a family member who reports on their behalf. Every report is labeled clearly: “reported by [name] on behalf of [patient].”
The simplest form of help, no setup required beyond forwarding the link.
Appoint a primary caregiver account. A patient can appoint a primary caregiver account with their coordinator’s help, so reporting access is more durable. The care team approves any delegation.
Burna does not grant access without explicit patient and care team consent.
A rash. A tremor. The way you walk when your feet are numb from neuropathy. CareVid is the patient video documentation feature, launching in pilot during 2026. A short video of the symptom is recorded on a phone and sent securely to the care team. The team sees what the patient sees.
For symptoms that words struggle to capture, this changes what is possible.
CareVid launches in pilot with selected US cancer centers in the 2026 design partner cohort. General availability planned for 2027. Coordinators can request earlier access for trials where it would help.

The six we hear most often from patients and families.
No. The trial team may use it to make their work faster, but reporting through the portal is usually optional. Your coordinator can explain how it fits into your specific trial.
Then do not. The trial team has other ways to receive symptom reports. Burna never replaces human contact. It is one of several ways to reach your team between visits.
Your trial care team (your coordinator, your trial nurse, your physician) and no one else by default. Your hospital’s standard patient privacy rules apply.
Send it again. Everything is versioned. The care team sees the full history, so “I meant to say fatigue, not nausea” is handled the same way it would be in a phone call.
Call your trial’s 24/7 line, your doctor’s office, or your local emergency number. Burna is not an emergency tool. It is a tool for communication between visits.
The portal works in seven languages at launch and more in pilot. If your language is not yet supported, your coordinator can request it. Languages are added by request, with translators who specialize in oncology terminology.
Burna works with advocacy organizations in oncology to make sure the patient-facing side of the platform reflects what patients actually need.
